I'm exhausted. I wasn't expecting to finish this in time, but I'm so glad I did. It took somewhere from around 18 to 24 hours to complete. (Give or take an hour or two. Don't forget. This was done completely by mouse.) I actually tried to clean up the lineart well this time, so that was most of the hours. X_________x

Oh, and I just drew this pic 3 or 4 days ago, so I was running short on time. That's why I chose a Disney cartoon to quickly draw. I'm annoyed that they don't look a bit like themselves(especially Spud). They're not very Disney-like. >.o Despite that, I actually kinda like how Rose came out, but she looks nothing like her self either. XDD

I generally don't like american 'cartoons' too often, but I somehow found myself interested in The American Dragon: Jake Long. O.o Oh, and since it's 'American' Dragon, I figured it'd be the perfect show for the fourth of July.

I don't own AD:JL. It's copywrited to the creator.

ps. Anyone know any good sites to teach me how to use photoshop 7.0 well? I've looked, but haven't found anything that actually helps. =__=;

This is really cute and a great idea ^__^ I watch this show from time to time. Its not bad and kinda funny. I think Spud is my favorite ^^ I think they all look like who they're supposed to be ^^ If they didnt, I wouldnt have been able to tell who you drew ^.~

Thanks! Spud is pretty funny sometimes, but I think my favorite is probably Huntsgirl(Rose), even though most don't like her. XDD

I still think they all look weird though. (Like I said, I'm not used to the Disney style. XDD )

BTW: I won't be on for the next couple of days. I'm going to be away.

Yeah, I used to draw Disney stuff all of the time before I got into anime and that kinda took over my drawing style ^^; I still love Disney though and try to practice it from time to time. I just decorated a bag of mine (I've been meaning to put it on DA, actually...) and drew Ariel on it and it turned out pretty well ^__^ I was happy I still have the Disney style in me.

Well, you still did great for not being used to the style :D

And have fun, where ever you're going! Be safe! ^__^

Before anime, I mostly drew a mix of cartoon/realism. XDD Which is pretty funny considering I don't do that much realism any more. I mostly drew dogs and horses. Anime didn't take over my style until 7th grade. Actually, that was the first time I drew anime. (It was Gokou from Dragon Ball Z. Ahh, I remember it like it was yesterday. =3 ) I have drawn a little bit of Disney now that I think of it, but the last time I drew in that style was when the Rugrats: All Grown Up movie aired on TV.(maybe sooner) I drew most of the older rugrats(if not all of them.) I can't remember too well. ^-^;
Thanks. I'm glad you like it. Though I know a bit of my style is mixed in with it. >.<;

Yeah, I had fun for the most part. I was at student orientation. =3

I'm kinda good a drawing realism, but I dont normally like to. Probably because it takes a lot of time and effort ^_^; I dont unless I'm forced to, like in an art class or something. But my realism has turned out pretty good when I do draw it though ^^

I've always loved cartoons though, so thats what has always influenced me. I drew Disney a lot and other cartoons I saw on television or other movies, like Anastasia and things like that. Then I got into anime in 8th grade and it really took over my drawing style. I think I've finally developed my own style, which I'm happy with. Because I used to just look at things and copy them all of the time. Now I can actually draw things straight from my head (with a little references here and there). But my style is still anime based. Its becoming a little more cartoony-er though. My sister pointed that out to me one day when I showed her a drawing I had just finished. She said the character looked more real or more like a cartoon than anime. So I was actually kinda pleased with that ^__^

I think its good for your own style to be mixed in with things. I cant copy things exactly like I used to. Even if I look at a character to draw now, I cant copy them exactly. I can always see a little bit of my style in them ^^;

Yay for orientation >.> lol, so when do you start school?

(sorry its such a long comment!)

Yeah, I don't like drawing realism too often either. (Well, at least people. I'm just not fond of the look half the time.) I like drawing realistic dogs pretty well. Maybe that's because it's what I drew the most when I was younger. ^^; Haven't drawn one in a while though.

I've always loved cartoons, as well, except I don't like what everyone likes now-a-days.(Ex. Powerpuff girls, catdog, etc.) I liked shows like Jungle Cubs or What-a-mess. What ever happened to good old shows like that? XDD I know. Kids these days want blood and guts and what not. (And then everyone wonders why kids are so violent these days. XD ) >.< Gomen if you like any of those shows. I just don't find interest in them myself. <.<
I remember drawing some things from Disney before(just not that often.) I drew Simba and, I think, Odette.(Did I spell that right? It's been a long time since I watched The Swan Princess). I was the same way in that I used to just copy from pictures, but I hardly ever do that any more(a side from refs.) Most of the things I draw now-a-days are my original characters for my manga/anime ideas. That's why I don't upload pics too often on this site, because I'm afraid of them(OCs) being stolen or somein'. I don't mind posting OCs on this site if they're made up for another existing show, cartoon, anime, etc. I guess I'm a bit too over protective of my stuff. >.o So I guess not many people(on the net) have seen my actual style. (If I want to be an animater, I have to be good at mimicking others styles.)
Yeah, I noticed that your style looked a bit like cartoon/anime mixed and I think it's cool. ^o^
I have to start moving in on Aug. 14 or 15. *Cries* I'm getting really nervious. Now that it's getting closer, I realize how much I DON'T want to go to college just yet. ;-; WAH! I haven't been happy for the last couple of days because of it. ;-;

Don't worry about the long comment. I actually love it when I get long comments to read. XDD Sorry about mine though. O.o It's long, too.

Welp, better get back to watching my friends DVDs. I have to get them done(and another friends box set) before I leave in Aug. ;-;

Lol, yeah its fine! I love long comments too! :D Its fun to read them and actually make conversation with people ^^

I know exactly what you mean about missing the good old cartoons! I used to watch Jungle Cubs too! :D And a lot of shows like that... Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Doug, Ducktales, and the like. Oh and Hercules, Aladdin, and the Little Mermaid tv shows were my favorites! ^^ I dont watch a lot of current cartoons. The only one I am totally and completely obsessed with right now is Avatar: The Last Airbender. They show that on Nickolodeon. Oh man, I dont know if you've ever watched it, but its AWESOME! The story, the art, the character development, everything! Its just amazing.
I wish I could see more of your original characters! I bet they're awesome and like you said, I and other people could see more of how your own art style is. But I understand about you being protective. You never know when someone may steal an original idea. I actually never thought about it too much. I always put my OC characters on DA ^^; I never thought anyone would -want- to steal them, lol. I mean, I love my characters and think they're awesome, but I there are people who are so much better than me and have even more awesome characters to steal, lol.

Well have fun watching your DVD's! Unless you've finished by now ^^; It took me a few days to reply. And dont stress too much about college! I know you're going to be nervous. Its natural, but you'll be fine! I didnt want to go to college yet either (and I didnt even have to leave home! I'm just a big baby!) I've never wanted to grow up and college is one of the most grown up things you do O.o; But its actually fun and being a grown up has its perks ^^ And I can always act like a kid when I want ^__^ Hang in there!

Hey! I watched all those cartoons, too. I wonder what happened to 'em all. ;-; LOL Ya know, back when I was a young kid, I was somewhat afraid of "The Little Mermaid" TV series. The movies didn't bother me though. XDD Weird. O.o
Oh, and yeah, I've watched a few eps. of Avatar. (I think 3 or 4 different eps.) I'm usually not around when the eps are on, or I have other stuff to do. (Like studying for my Drivers test... I'm not slacking... Really!! ) Isn't it like a European anime or something? I thought I read that in one of my beckett magazines. O.o? I don't remember, but I think it is a non-Japanese anime. XD
Actually, I'd love to post my own characters. It's literally driving me crazy. ;-; But I'm just TOO paranoid. XDD I agree that there are tons of people with characters much better than my own, too, but still... <__<; *Huggles Canon, Manchu and Aisling.* (They're a few of my newest characters)
LOL No, I haven't finished the DVDs yet. There's so many of them. X--x Wah! I have like 5 DVDs left of Gundam Wing, most of Fushigi Yuugi left to watch(I've only watched 23 eps), my Scrapped Princess came in a couple days ago, as well as my Broken Sky and I have a couple drawers full of anime in which I haven't watched quite a bit of them. ;-; Soooo muuuuch! I hope I have time in college. ^-^;
I know I shouldn't stress so much, but I'm going to be SO far away. ;-; And I'm afraid of not being able to find my way around(even though most of my classes are in the same building for my first term. ^-^;; ) + I know that College professors are way different than High School teachers. I just need to stay calm and don't lose my head. It's always the first month or two that's the worse. I'm just happy that almost all of my classes are in the morning. (I'm a morning person and with my classes being over early, I have time to do other things... hopefully. )

Lol, actually the Little Mermaid movie scared me a little when I was young because of how Urula dies. I would always hide behind the couch and peek over it when that part came on, lol. I always loved the series though.

Yeah, Avatar is non-Japanese. Its got a lot of anime and oriental/asian influences, but its American made. They do such an awesome job with it though and its getting sooo popular! Not like a fad though, its just getting good recognition ^^ Of course they're making a lot of merchandise for the kids (even though I buy it too... *whistles innocently and hides her Avatar band-aids and gummies).

I guess its better to be safe than sorry with your original characters ^__^

Yay for Gundam Wing! That was my first major anime series obsesssion. Man, my friend and I had it bad for those boys ^^; LOL! It was such a good series and it brings back all sorts of good memories :D I like Fushigi Yugi too. Never saw much of the anime, but I got pretty far in the manga until my friend that I was borrowing it from left high school and I now I rarely see her anymore ^^;
I have a lot of anime and stuff to watch too. But I've been doing pretty well this summer. My sisters and I have been watching a lot of anime on Anime on Demand (:heart: loves it). We've watched Slayers, Pretear, Gravitation, Princess Yucie, and now we're working on Kaleido Stage and the 3rd season of Slayers. And I bought the whole series of Tsubasa at the last convention I went to. I have a little bit more of that left to go ^^

I like my classes in the morning too. I signed up for my fall term classes yesterday and I ALMOST had to take a night class. I'm so glad it worked out that I didnt have too :D I'm a little nervous cause this is my last year at a junior college and then its off to the university X.x; And I'm getting into my classes for my major now too. No more english or history classes (I'll miss, them, but I wont miss math!! :w00t: I'm nervous and excited like you are ^__^ But keep hanging in there and you'll do fine.
